Meetings
    THSRTC conducts five major business meetings each year - four quarterly meetings hosted by members, and the annual meeting hosted each August by the City of Irving at their annual transportation and infrastructure summit. These meetings provide an update to members on recent accomplishments and future opportunities. Members also discuss and vote on matters relating to the Corporation's development strategies. The THSRTC also conducts many public meetings aimed at increasing public awareness and support for the Texas T-Bone High Speed Rail Corridor. June 14-18, 2009 - Chicago, IL

APTA Rail Conference

THSRTC representatives will speak on behalf of the Texas T-Bone corridor, providing project updates and gaining additional insight into the development of national high-speed rail policy.  Meetings of the APTA High Speed and Intercity Rail Committee and the National High Speed Rail Coalition will also take place.

June 17-18, 2009 - Pulaski County, Little Rock, AR

THSRTC Quarterly Meeting

The first regional quarterly meeting of the THSRTC will be hosted by Pulaski County, AR Judge Buddy Villines and will focus on the increasingly regional focus of the Corporation.  Immediately following this meeting will be a meeting of the National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering Committee.

National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering Committee Quarterly Meeting

Born out of the 1st Annual Transportation Convention in Washington, DC in 2008, Steering Committee members will meet to finalize the report that will be submitted to Congress as it begins debate on the reauthorization of SAFETEA-LU.

June 29-30, 2009 - Dallas, TX

Infrastructure Project Development Program for THSRTC Members

This program will focus on the processes that place infrastructure projects from the federal, state, and local (MPO) levels. There is a strong demand among elected and appointed officials for a program of this type as the rules and policies continue to change. The course speakers will include a number of State elected and  appointed officials, instructors from the Texas Transportation Institute, Mr. John Blain (retired from TxDOT with over 40 years experience) and a number of other very experienced speakers.

Speakers include Paul Harrell from Fort Worth Star Telegram, Jeff Crilley, former TV reporter, Blake Lewis, President of APR, and Steve Lee, President/CEO of QuickSilver Electronic Media.  If taken from private entity - could run upwards of $1,000 a person.
