The Texas T-Bone Corridor
-
The THSRTC route is 256 miles shorter than running the bases on the straight line
-
In terms of the initial design and construction costs, the THSRTC route is estimated to be 33.5% less expensive that the straight line approach
-
THSRTC relies on regional, local, and municipal entities to participate in the planning and to allow for a self-determined final alignment. The Corporation prides itself on the bottom-up determination of its members
-
There are over 1,000,000 students attending the numerous community colleges, vocational institutes, colleges, and universities located within the Texas T-Bone that would greatly benefit from the high speed rail access
The first phase of THSRTC's development plan is the 440 mile Texas T-Bone High-Speed Rail Corridor. Connecting over 16 million Texans living in and between the sttae's major metropolitan areas through a new dual-track, completely grade-separated rail infrastructure capable of accommodating passenger travel at speeds in excess of 185 miles per hour, the Texas T-Bone will revolutionize the ways in which Texans live, travel, and conduct business.
