    OMAHA, Neb. – The slowing economy and ongoing trade disputes are dragging railroad profits down in the second half of the year. Two railroads, Union Pacific and CSX, have reported declining profit and revenue this week as they hauled less grain, imported goods and other products.     NJ Transit restores Raritan Valley Line direct service

    New Jersey Transit will resume weekday off-peak, one-seat Raritan Valley Line (RVL) train service to New York Penn Station beginning Nov. 4, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy announced yesterday.     Virgin’s Hyperloop One is eyeing North Texas as a site for a certification facility, according to the Regional Transportation Council. The electromagnetic tube technology which boasts speeds of 670 miles an hour would take passengers from DFW to Laredo in about 45 minutes. Trips from North Texas to Austin would take about 17 minutes. And it would take about 25 minutes from North Texas to San Antonio.
